Happy Monday!

I hope that everyone had a great weekend. The full moon was beautiful and a little creepy.

I want to say a big "Thank you" to all of you that have taken the time to meet with us for our fall conferences. It is very stressful for the three of us to work around all of our crazy schedules to meet with all 60+ of you, but we really enjoy the opportunity to discuss your child with you. I appreciate the patience of the parents that have tried to schedule and the slots fill up quickly. We will continue to schedule times as long as we need to. 

Reading news!

We started our word study work this week. Your child should have their new list of words glued into their agendas. We will take the quiz on Monday. 

We are starting to dive in nonfiction reading. It's a whole new world! (Cue Jasmin and Alladin song please). 

The students also have new reading logs for this week.

Direct Donation Drive Information 

Forest Creek Elementary families have given generously in the past and we THANK YOU for your continued support.  Instead of catalog sales, going door-to-door, and/or hitting up friends and family to buy things…we are holding a DIRECT DONATION DRIVE where 100% of the money raised goes directly to our school.  Our Goal is $20,000.  If we can achieve this goal, not only are we able to cover our budgeted programs and services, we will also be able to allocate funds for campus improvement such as a new sound system for the cafeteria, mimeo systems for the classrooms, and/or a new digital marquee.

ONLY $25 PER STUDENT GETS US TO OUR GOAL!

The drive begins on Thursday, September 22nd and runs through Thursday, October 20th.  IF we reach our goal, this will be PTA’s ONLY fundraiser – YAY!  Again, 100% of every dollar collected goes to enhance your child’s experience at FCE.  We can’t do this without each of YOU.  Please donate today by sending in cash or check (along with a donation form that you should have received in your Thursday folder today) to your homeroom teacher OR donate online at https://www.pt-avenue.com/ShopGP.asp?schcode=FCE.
